Look to the Unseen
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV)
16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

On a daily basis our bodies are dying slowly. From the time going we are conceived, our flesh begins already a slow process of aging till the time and day we reach our final breath. Each and every one of us, during times of trouble and afflictions, can feel this “wasting away” even much more acutely.
Are you discouraged or disheartened today? Then know and take heart because no Christian is immune to discouragement. All of us lose heart every now and then. But, like Paul, we can look to the unseen for our encouragement. During hard and tough days, let your spiritual eyes come alive, and through this farsighted lens look beyond what is seen. With eyes of faith see what normal eyes cannot see and get a glorious glimpse of eternity.
